What a great weekend of lazy lane cycling, fresh organic food and learning about the food put on our plates!
Our first Farm to Fork Cycle was accompanied by the sun and a slight tail wind- perfect for cycling!
Knowing where our food comes from and how it’s grown is very important in an age of convenience and instant gratification. To witness the time and effort involved in producing organic food that ends up on your plate gives it a worthy reverence – that’s well appreciated by a bunch of hungry cyclists!
With the bike to slowly propel us through the Sligo/Leitrim countryside and seasonal food gathered from the farm to fuel our journey it was a reminder of how life can be lived at a more natural pace.
Good times, good people and good food!
More Crank + Cog events to be announced later in the Summer and early Autumn!
If you have a group that would like to experience slow food/slow travel at it’s finest – get in touch!!
